Housework is a simple exercise everyone can partake in:
Now there are ways to vacuum the house and there are ways to "vacuum the house!"
Most of us when we push the up-right vacuum back and forth we use our arms to do all the work.
That's great if you only want strong arms, however, burning calories this way won't do much for the other part of your body.
Rather than using arm extensions, keep your arms bent, positioned close to your body and push with your entire body.
Using your abdominal muscles in full force.
That way you will save your back from injury.
You'll burn from 100 to 250 calories for the effort!!
Depending the the amount of vacuuming you do.
Loading and unloading the Dishwasher
We generally bend over at the waist to take the dishes out.
Here's what I want you to do:
Bend you knee with your feet spread apart to 18 inches.
Then dip slowly down to where it's comfortable, grab a few plates and slowly push up.
In doing so you are burning calories big time with simple knee bends.
You'll be breathing heavily, so just breath slowly and continue until pain sets in.
"DO NOT OVER TAX YOUR KNEE!!"
If you feel it's time to quit, take direction from your body.
If it hurts stop!!
You'll burn from 100 to 200 calories for the effort!!
As long as you are at it for over 10 minutes
As you mop the floor you are going to use the very same techniques and vacuuming.
Try to move the mop only as you move your body.
