WHEN DIETING 1 Factor Needs to be Considered... What You're Putting in Your Mouth Each Day!
When dieting 1 thing you must be aware of even before starting a diet, you need to be clear on how much you're eating each day.
And of course, the old rule still stands: even with all the weight loss drugs and crap used today for losing weight, that you must eat less than your body uses to drop fat.
Seems real simple but it's far from it, especially when you eat to keep from being depressed or for other physiological reason.
Since writing The Slimming Experience I have wanted to put together a simple method by which people who are consciously watching their weight could get easy to make and low in calories but yet very delicious meals.
I think I have put together the ultimate easy, quick and wholesome low calorie recipes.
I ragged my friends until they gave me free rein of their recipe catalogs.
And ripped-off my mothers with recipes dating back to when my grandparents immigrated from Norway.
Even my daughter did not escape my prodding.
When dieting for super healthy weight loss the magic is in the foods you do and don't eat.
In the end I found some awesome dishes that with a modicum of alteration I could transform from fat and lard based dishes to “lean cuisine!”
However, most are of my own invention, I love making new things from old.
When dieting 1 to 4 food categories need to be addressed: soups; hot dishes (casseroles)(crock pot only); salads with lots of greens; pies (meat and fruit).
I find when dieting these four forms are the easiest ways to prepare foods.
Soups and hot dishes are extremely easy to invent and salads can be made hundreds of different ways to keep your menu out of the boredom category..
However, how many ways can you crock pot six kinds of meat.
Which lead to adding stews to the meat dishes.
As for pies the challenge is finding ingredients that are acceptable for losing weight.
Making a blueberry pie for example is considerably confronting when it has to be both low in calories and fat.
But, I am pretty sure I conquered the problem in my recipe book The Slimming Recipe Book, I wrote it 2 years ago when I decided to take more weight off and do it with my health intact.
¾ c. canned pumpkin
1 ¼ c. while flour (organic)
¾ c. buttermilk
¼ c. stevia
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp baking powder
1 baking soda
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp vanilla
Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly. Then beat the egg, add pumpkin, milk, vanilla, honey, oil, milk mix well and fold in with the dry ingredients.
Do not over mix. Mix just enough so all is integrated. Pour on hot griddle make each pancake 6 or 7 inches in diameter
1 lb white ground turkey
1 can kidney beans (organic)
2 c. chicken broth
1 onion (chopped finely)
3 tbsp dried minced onion
¼ c chopped green chiles
¼ c. fresh garlic (chopped in small pieces)
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp cilantro
½ tsp red pepper
In a skillet brown turkey, fresh onions, garlic for 5 minutes. Put all ingredients in a crock pot and cook for 45 minutes to an 1 hour. Check after 30 minutes for doneness, add water if needed.
Note of Caution: turkey is a food high in purines part of the chemical make-up of our DNA.
As a bi-product of purine metabolism uric acid is formed. Which is a cause of joint pain.
If you have a access of joint pain from inflammation limit you intake of turkey to once or twice a week.
So when dieting 1 thing to always remember: find a way to slow up the food intake before tackling a healthy dieting plan.
Losing weight is more about how you get the lbs off and keep them off than it is about shoving pills in your mouth and hoping for the best.
Take action, begin writing down everything you put in your mouth for a week to 10 days before you start any diet.
Figure out when and why you overeat. Is the pattern just an in grained habit or are overweight issue related to something deeper which will require therapy.
And those of you who are buying into the next "wonder" weight loss drug and/or fad: take at least 5 minutes and ask yourself...will it really work or is this just some more hyped-up crap!!
Mostly I "wonder" who comes up with such lame garbage as Acai Berry Dieting and the 3-day diet?
