Coconut Oil Benefits

Coconut oil is a medium chain triglyceride

Although the oil is a saturated fat no "cholesterol type harm" comes from consuming it internally or using it externally!

The fatty acids are small and medium chains making them instantly accessible for using in the body.

These fatty acids in coconut oil don’t become stored fat as easily as other oils.

However, it doesn't seem to help you lose weight.

Not enough studies have been conducted to determine the oil effectiveness.

Well according to the Mayo Clinic spoke-person: studies done have mixed and inconclusive data.

They, in fact, don't recommend it as a weight loss aid.

My experience with it has been good for certain things but ineffectual for other things.

1. As a weight loss product..."Save your money."

I found no appreciable difference when taking the oil internally and not taking it at all!

2. As a moisturizer, "It's the best and the cheapest cream or oil I have ever experimented with."

I use it daily.

I love coconut oil for my outer body!!

3. As a cream for my face..."NO" I get pimples from putting it on my delicate skin.

4. As a health benefit: "No appreciable difference in the way I felt."

In fact, 1 Tbsp/daily irritated my stomach.

Olive oil works better as a laxative aid.


Please stay clear of the coconut oil diet...

3 Tbsp of coconut oil daily is to much to be ingesting!!

A clinical trial of COCONUT OIL BENEFITS put together 40 obese women starting in May 2009.

Women ages 20-40 were divided into 2 group:

Group 1 = Soy bean oil added to diet

Group 2 = Coconut oil added to diet

Each group were advised to eat hypo-calorie foods and walk 50= minutes/day.

Without exception all 40 women lost weight.

I mean..."dah!!" Who wouldn't lose weight under those circumstances!!

Well, for 12 weeks each 20 women group drank 30 mL of either coconut oil or soy bean oil.

Loss of weight was not attributed to either oil.

But the amazing part was how cholesterol dropped for the 20 women taking coconut oil.

The study concluded:

Coconut oil benefits a reduction in abdominal fat.
